Burials
Derby Road Cemetery, situated on the left hand side of Derby Road as you leave Aston on Trent heading towards the A6 is owned and maintained by Aston on Trent Parish Council. This is the only burial ground in Aston on Trent for which the Parish Council hold any responsibility.
There are two other burial sites located within Aston on Trent:
Moor Lane Cemetery - this is a closed cemetery and is maintained directly by South Derbyshire District Council.
All Saint's Church Yard - this is also a closed church yard and is owned and maintained by All Saint's Church and the Parochial Church Council.
Derby Road Cemetery is unconsecrated and for use by all denominations and religious bodies. We accept interments from non-residents of Aston on Trent.
We have a natural burial section, area(s) for graves and area(s) for ashes interment.
Funeral directors will usually liaise with the Clerk when making arrangements for a burial.
Derby Road Cemetery is accessed by a side gate which is unlocked and large enough to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters for disabled visitors. The main gates are unlocked for funerals and allow vehicular access for mourners and the funeral cortege.
